College Graduation

Announcing The 2021 ‘Giving Students A Lift’ Scholarship Winner!

Forklift Systems is very pleased to name Kiel Skaggs as the 2021 ‘Giving Students A Lift’ scholarship essay contest winner! Kiel is currently studying welding at the College of Western Idaho, where he is expected to graduate in May 2023.

Kiel did a fantastic job at communicating his passion for welding and the important life lessons he has gained from sharpening the skill. After college, Kiel hopes to open a mobile welding business that can help those in remote locations. We wish him the best of luck in accomplishing his dreams and are sure he will impact many lives in the years ahead!

“Welding can teach you how important it is to slow down, take a breath, understand what you’re doing wrong, and do things the right way the next try. Welding is about taking base materials and making something new, which I can relate to in my own life. I have to cut out the bad part of my life and start again but make sure that I take my time and do it right because I won’t get many more tries before I’m graded.”
